Well, we got the last of our furniture.
Barb's dad helped us get the last of our big furniture today. He's a bold packer: There was a lot of stuff hangin' out the tailgate on the way back home. He's packed his truck a few times, though, and he knows what he's doing. He seemed pleased with our house. Not like he's going to tell us "Wow, looks like it's gonna fall on your head!" but I think he's right: It IS a good house.
This afternoon, I hung a couple hammocks in our gazebo in the back yard. We also put out our birdbath, and we cut a big root ball out of the ground with a Sawzall. That was pretty exciting. My dad's going to hate reading that we were both wearing sandals when we cut that sucker out of there. Don't worry: I counted. All nine toes are still there.
I'm watching the remarkably crappy CBS coverage of the Tour de France. It sounds like they got this guy from a tennis telecast and said "Hey, try to make cycling sound interesting. Be sure to talk about France and World War II." Huh? If I want to watch the Discovery Channel, I'll do that. Shut up and cover the race. He needs to shut up and let Phil Liggett talk. Unfortunately, I don't get OLN, which is the channel that actually carries the daily Tour coverage. Stupid Comcast.
